Šentjur: Spinning the potter’s wheel at the Art mill

Let’s start the potter’s wheel. The contact with clay will calm you down and inspire you to make new discoveries of nature and your own creativity. The basics of clay molding on a wheel are presented to you in the studio Mlin Umetnin in idyllic willage of Osredek near Šentjur. The object created with your own hands, will remind you of the experience of pottery making for a long time.
The workshop takes place at more than 200-year-old mill, whose wheel is still turned by water. In addition to pottery, the miller’s homestead also preserves other traditional arts, such as decorative painting and painting of beehive ends, as well as burning various motifs into wood or pyrography. On the homestead they also have an ethnological house museum.
