Ribnica: Let’s weave a basket

Ribnica is famous for its cosmopolitan woodenware makers, potters and other handicrafts. In the Ribnica Handicraft Centre which preserves all branches of the geographically designated Ribnica woodenware, we can discover at the exhibition, in the museum shop and in handicraft workshops, centuries old peddling tradition and the quality of useful products made from local wood and clay.
With an experienced master basket maker, we learn to weave a special basket – round wicker basket made of osiers or hazel splints.
